This book has been written to discuss the great tenors of the twentieth century and has been supplemented by an account of the early development of the tenor voice. There is also an account of the major opera houses at which the twentieth century tenors performed. The central focus is the biographical and vocal analysis of thirty great tenors of, from Caruso to Pavarotti. The author intends not only to provide information but also to give pleasure to the reader.
