While snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, Bindi spies the unusual dugong. Such an incredible animal! But after a friendly encounter, the dugong swims straight into a drifting ghost net, entrapping itself. It's a race against time to free it before it injures itself ...or worse.
Bindi is travelling deep into the jungles of Borneo to film the plight of orphaned and rescued orangutans. When she gets there, one orangutan captures Bindi's heart: Merah. He's a real scene-stealer! But when a tropical storm hits, Merah escapes from his river island. With poachers lurking nearby, it's up to Bindi and her new friend Siti to track Merah down before the poachers do.

has achieved a remarkable amount in her thirteen years. As the daughter of Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, she has been involved with caring for wildlife and promoting conservation since she was tiny. She has hosted the Emmy-award-winning TV program Bindi: The Jungle Girl series, she sings, she dances, she acts in movies, all while helping her mum run Australia Zoo. She loves echidnas and eating mango.
