Through academic readings, Impressions helps students explore American culture and develop the reading, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills necessary to be successful learners.

Cheryl Benz has been involved in teaching and teacher training for over 20 years. She holds a B.A. “cum laude ”in Political Studies and History, an M.A. in Sec. and Adult Education in ESL, and an Ed.D. from FIU in Community College Teaching with a minor in ESL. She has taught college ESL and EFL at Miami Dade CC, in New Mexico, and Guatemala and was a Fulbright Lecturer in Moldova.
