Clare Briggs (1875-1930) was a popular early cartoonist, well known for both his slice-of-life panel comics and his daily comic strips (“Mr and Mrs,” etc.). This comic art reprint (first published 1916) depicts both the pleasures and frustrations of the game of golf.
