  This is a very good representative of the post-apocalyptic genre. The hero survives a pandemic viral attack, and travels back across Asia, Mongolia and Siberia to Berlin. The book is especially good, as the author manages to describe the initial hardships and landscapes in colorful detail (without careening off into the unbelievable), and then, in the second part, brings in the human psychology factor, as the hero meets some additional survivors. The scenes describing the wannabe dictator Somerset are hilarious. A good read, highly recommended.
