Description

The lyrics of Led Zeppelin provide insight on the timeless topics of life, love and happiness. Everything I Need to Know I Learned From Led Zeppelin wittily presents this advice with clever illustrations from vintage school primers and classic rock art. Part self-help book, part anthology, and part philosophical treatise, Everything I Need to Know I Learned from Led Zeppelin is an exercise in free thought; the type of thought many have experienced laying back on their beds, staring at an album cover. The words of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones are collected in this volume, along with whimsical images from old-fashioned school readers and rock-n-roll art. This newly revised version of the original bestseller features the full text of every song at the back of the book. Readers will find deep wisdom and profound poetry in the lyrics featured in Everything I Need to Know I Learned from Led Zeppelin. This book makes a great gift for the rocker - or the philosopher - in your life.

About the Author

Author and publisher Benjamin Darling's favorite month is Zeptember. In 1980, the year John Bonham died, he and his high school friend Paul engineered a stereo set-up with multiple amplifiers and humongous speakers. They played Fool In the Rain so loudly that the windows rattled, the neighbors complained, the authorities were called, and the 'super stereo' never played again. Mellowed only slightly by age, Benjamin has been known to rock out hard in his Volvo (when his wife and daughter aren't there to scold him). His love for Led Zepelin and of old children's readers and grade school primers fell together serendipitously one day - and a book was born. Benjamin lives in San Diego, California. Danielle Marshall is a graphic artist. Her work with Laughing Elephant Books includes a line of greeting cards under her brand Hooligan Ruth, as well as the books Everything I Need to Know I Learned From ‪Led Zeppelin, and Party Cakes!‬ She is currently working on The Ministry of Rock and Roll, a project that is devoted to sharing the love of music and image in an effort to foster reverence for rock and roll legends. Marshall is based in ‪Glen Ellen‬, California.
