Publisher Description

Everyday kupu and sentences used in repetition, encourage whanau to learn together. Our books and cards are bilingual in Te reo Maori and English. The illustrations are original, hand drawn artworks inspired by real life experiences of tamariki. Each pukapuka features a glossary and a phonetic guide to support the use of correct pronunciation.

Author Biography

Kitty Brown and Kirsten Parkinson developed the Reo Pepi books out of a desire to produce really simple, user friendly bilingual board books in te reo Maori for Maori and Pakeha whanau alike. Their passion for Reo Pepi grew from their own whanau. They are cousins through their taua (Ivy and Mere Karaitiana) and grew up close in a tino ataahua extended whanau. After education, travelling, living overseas, careers and having children, they both returned to their rohe, living in the same little village, Portobello on the Otago Peninsula.

Long Description

'Lovely bilingual books. Great to see. I'm enjoying practising my reo!' Kate De Goldi 'These charming and robust bilingual board books are totally compelling. they are sure to engage our tiny citizens!' Shelly Howells, Kia Ora 'Tino rawe! Super fun for learning!' Anika Moa Simple, repetitive sentences you will use in everyday situations and plenty of new kupu for your vocabulary. The carefully rendered illustrations are created with aroha and will be a delight for all readers. Share these delightful books with your whanau as you learn together.
