About the Author

Born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Margaret Dickinson moved to the coast at the age of seven and sobegan her love for the sea and the Lincolnshire landscape. Her ambition to be a writer began early and she hadher first novel published at the age of twenty-five. This was followed by a number of further titles including The Clippie Girls, Fairfield Hall and Welcome Home. Margaret is a Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller. Kate Rawson is an actress, musician and voiceover artist originally from Cornwall. She trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, London. Her theatre credits range from an adolescent boy to a Shakespearean heroine, while on TV she has played a drunken witch in Casualty, been shot and killed in Holby City and played an enthusiastic mother in ITV drama Doc Martin. Kate regularly records audiobooks and has voiced all manner of computer-game characters.
