“Firstly, the cover looks attractive & is clear at whom the book is aimed. The CD is a benefit; I know that certainly mature students are keen to know what the language sounds like. It would also provide variety in the classroom which is important. I like the clear demarcation of the sections and the fact that colour has been injected into the text with line/question numbers & the comprehension questions as well. It was a good decision to include these questions, not only do they break up daunting text, but they also direct the student to think about how the text/ language works which is important. Students can sometimes see texts as purely for language decoding purposes. This feature would also help those students who are studyingLatin largely by themselves.”
