Inspired by the story of a beloved caterpillar, The Very Fcking Tired Mommy is an all-too-relatable tale of the frustration, exhaustion and sometimes unexpected joy of parenthood.

Here we follow the journey of one mommy over the course of a week, taking everything life throws at her with a side of wine, coffee, chocolate from last Christmas, the kids' leftover lunch and even the occasional dog treat.

It will comfort anyone for whom eight hours of sleep seems like a distant memory, and serve as a welcome reminder that sometimes, just sometimes, we all need a break...

About the Author

Martyna Wisniewska-Michalak was born in Warsaw, is currently based in London and can be often found in Tokyo. She is a painter, illustrator and doll maker. Martyna graduated from Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (2007), and has cooperated with various magazines as illustrator and writer in Poland (A4, Ro-style, Kawaii) China (Neew Mag) and USA (The Bacon) She was also involved in tattoo art (Tattoo LA in USA and Shi Ryu Doh in Japan) and was a doll clothes designer for Doll Heart company in Korea and illustrator for a Polish brand, Lady Sloth. She designed and produced a line of collectible dolls, Marti Presents Dolls.

Martyna describes her art as auto-portraits of her mental health, which affects the way she sees the world around her.
