About the Author

Sanjiv Chopra, M.D., is associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and the director of clinical hepatology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. In 1991, he received the prestigious excellence in teaching award from the graduating class of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chopra has written three textbooks on gastroenterology and the liver. He lives in Boston.
