Critic Reviews

“"Jim Bockheim ... has co-ordinated a volume of 17 chapters by about 30 authors and co-authors, although he has had a guiding hand in most of the chapters. ... The book is well illustrated and contains many colour photographs, which will help those who are unlikely to gain first-hand experience of Antarctica, and tables of data. Each chapter is extensively referenced, usually to original survey information or primary research papers, which is to be commended." (D. W. Hopkins, European Journal of Soil Science, Vol. 67, November, 2016)”
