Lyse Doucet

Lyse Doucet is a Canadian journalist and the BBC’s Chief International Correspondent, with a four-decade career reporting from around the world, including Jerusalem, Kabul, and Abidjan. She has covered major events such as the Iran-Israel war, the Gaza conflict, the Arab Spring, and the US-led invasion of Afghanistan, earning numerous awards including an Emmy, Peabody, and the 2024 Zenger Award for Press Freedom. Doucet holds a Master’s in International Relations, has eighteen honorary doctorates, and is a senior fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto.
