Florinda Donner-Grau
Florinda Donner-Grau is an American anthropologist and writer. Her books include The Witch’s Dream: A Healer’s Way of Knowledge and Being-in-Dreaming: An Initiation into the Sorcerers’ World.
Carlos Castaneda was a graduate student in anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles. While gathering information on medicinal herbs used by Indians in Sonora, Mexico, he met the Yaqui Indian Don Juan. Castaneda’s first book, The Teachings of Don Juan, recounted their early time together as master and pupil. This was followed by other volumes in the series: A Separate Reality, Journey to Ixtlan, Tales of Power, The Second Ring of Power, and The Eagle’s Gift. He also wrote The Art of Dreaming (1993).
