Robin Lane Fox
Robin Lane Fox began his weekly gardening column in the Financial Times in 1970, making it the longest-running gardening column in print today. He has authored two bestselling books on gardening: Better Gardening (1982) and Variations on A Garden (revised ed., 1986).
His career in horticulture commenced at the renowned Botanical Garden in Munich. Since 1979, he has served as the Garden Master for the gardens at New College, Oxford, where he also holds positions as a Fellow and Tutor in Ancient History.
Lane Fox is also a distinguished and prize-winning author of numerous books on classical history. His most recent work is Travelling Heroes: Greek and their Myths in the Epic Age of Homer (2009).
