Leslie Budewitz
Leslie Budewitz is a national bestselling author of the Spice Shop Mysteries and the Food Lovers’ Village Mysteries. She developed a passion for Seattle’s Pike Place Market during her college years and cherishes the memories of exploring its streets, indulging in its culinary offerings and vibrant atmosphere.
Budewitz is a recipient of the Agatha Award, winning Best First Novel in 2013 for Death al Dente, the inaugural book in the Food Lovers’ Village Mysteries series. She also received the Agatha Award for Best Nonfiction in 2011 for Books, Crooks & Counselors: How to Write Accurately About Criminal Law and Courtroom Procedure.
Her interests include cooking, dining, hiking, traveling, gardening, and painting. She resides in northwest Montana with her husband, Don Beans, who is a doctor of natural medicine, and their Burmese cat, Ruff, a keen bird enthusiast.
