Sarah Sax
Sarah is passionate about fostering a love for reading and building creative confidence in young people. She honed her skills in Storytelling and Sequential Imagery at Hampshire College. Her career has included valuable experience as an educator at the Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco and as a volunteer with 826 Valencia. Sarah also served as Creative Director at Lumosity, where she guided a team of artists, scientists, and game designers in creating engaging brain-training games focused on problem-solving and memory.
She is the illustrator for the first three titles in the innovative, interactive Escape This Book! series: Escape This Book: Titanic, Escape This Book: Tombs of Egypt, and Escape This Book: Race to the Moon. This series has been translated into eight languages.
Picture Day marks Sarah’s debut graphic novel and is the first in her Brinkley Yearbooks series, with three more graphic novels planned. Sarah currently resides in Portland, Maine.
