Henry Kissinger served as the fifty-sixth Secretary of State. Born in Germany, he immigrated to the United States in 1938 and became a U.S. citizen in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army and later became a faculty member at Harvard University.
Dr. Kissinger’s notable awards include the Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Medal of Liberty. He is currently the Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc., an international consulting firm.
