Clemency Burton-Hill
Clemency Burton-Hill, MBE, is an award-winning broadcaster, podcaster, author, journalist, and musician.
She is known for her work at BBC Radio 3’s Breakfast Show, where she introduced a new audience to classical music. For over a decade, she also hosted BBC’s Culture Show, the Proms, Young Musician of the Year, Classical Fix, and other prominent arts programs. Her journalism has been featured in publications such as the Economist, Financial Times, Sunday Times, Guardian, Observer, and Vogue. She is also the author of four books.
An accomplished violinist, Clemency has performed internationally with renowned conductors like Daniel Barenboim. She is a co-founder of the Aurora Orchestra and serves as a patron for several arts and education charities, including Music Masters.
Following a severe brain hemorrhage in 2020, Clemency is now an advocate for improving brain injury recovery. A native of London, UK, she currently resides with her family in Washington, DC.
