New X-Men Modern Era Epic Collection: New Worlds

• Grant Morrison is a Glasgow-born writer renowned for his original and respected work in comics. He began his career in British indie comics in the late 1970s and early 1980s before contributing to Marvel UK features. After co-creating Zenith with Steve Yeowell for 2000 AD, Morrison gained acclaim in America with DC Comics for his work on Animal Man and the best-selling graphic novel Arkham Asylum. He is also known for his surreal run on Doom Patrol and subsequent DC projects like Invisibles, DC One Million, Flash, and a popular revamp of JLA. Morrison then shifted to Marvel Comics, co-writing Skrull Kill Krew and undertaking a groundbreaking four-year run on New X-Men, alongside other credits like Fantastic Four: 1234 and Marvel Boy. He has since returned to DC, contributing to titles such as Seaguy, WE3, All-Star Superman, Batman, and Batman Inc., and served as a creative consultant for DC editorial.

• John Paul Leon studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York under industry legends. He began his professional career illustrating for TSR’s Dragon and Dungeon magazines before breaking into comics with Robocop: Prime Suspect for Dark Horse in 1992. Leon also worked on Static for Milestone Comics, which was later adapted into the animated show Static Shock. After graduating, he contributed his striking illustrations to numerous publishers, including Marvel Comics for New X-Men, The Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, Avengers: The Ultron Imperative, Captain America, Daredevil, Marvel Shadows and Light, Moon Knight, and Thor. He is particularly recognized for his critically acclaimed work on the maxi-series Earth-X. Leon also contributed to the Superman Returns style guide, Superman children’s books, licensing artwork for Batman Begins, and The Winter Men for Wildstorm/DC Comics.

• Igor Kordey is a prolific Croatian illustrator known for his extensive work across multiple monthly books. His Marvel credits include Black Widow: Pale Little Spider, Captain America, Conspiracy, Soldier X, Tales of the Marvels: Wonder Years, New X-Men, and extended runs on X-Treme X-Men and Cable. Kordey collaborated with fellow Croatian Darko Macan on Tarzan projects for Dark Horse Comics.

• Phil Jimenez is a veteran artist known for his high-energy style in titles such as Wonder Woman, Teen Titans, and Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles. He also collaborated with Morrison on several issues of New X-Men for Marvel. After contributing to Infinite Crisis, Jimenez was involved in launching “Brand New Day” in Amazing Spider-Man. He is slated to work with writer Warren Ellis on Astonishing X-Men.
