Mark Millar
Mark Millar is a New York Times best-selling writer known for his work on Wanted, the Kick-Ass series, The Secret Service, Jupiter’s Legacy, Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks, American Jesus, MPH, and Starlight.
His works Wanted, Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2, and The Secret Service (adapted as Kingsman: The Secret Service) have been made into feature films. Millar’s contributions to DC Comics include the acclaimed Superman: Red Son. At Marvel Comics, he penned The Ultimates, which Time magazine recognized as the comic book of the decade, the celebrated Wolverine story “Old Man Logan,” and Civil War, the highest-selling series in the industry for nearly two decades.
Millar has served as a producer and executive producer on film adaptations of his work. Following Netflix’s acquisition of his Millarworld comic line in 2017, he continues to serve as the company’s president. In recognition of his contributions to film and literature, he was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2013.
John Romita Jr. is a renowned modern comic artist, following in the legacy of his celebrated father. His influential runs on Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, and Daredevil established his distinct artistic voice. His work on Wolverine and World War Hulk is considered some of the most dynamic comic art of the 21st century.
In addition to Eternals with writer Neil Gaiman, Romita Jr. collaborated with Mark Millar on the creator-owned series Kick-Ass, which was later adapted into a successful film. Spider-Man fans welcomed his return to Amazing Spider-Man for the “Brand New Day” storylines, including “New Ways To Die” and “Character Assassination.” He later contributed to the relaunch of Avengers with writer Brian Michael Bendis and Captain America with Rick Remender, and was part of the major crossover event Avengers vs. X-Men. For DC Comics, he has illustrated prominent characters such as Superman, Batman, and the Suicide Squad.
Kaare Andrews is a Canadian artist who has distinguished himself in the comic industry as both a writer and a versatile illustrator, adept with pencils, inks, paint, and digital art. Born in Manitoba and raised in Saskatchewan, he pursued his education in Alberta before relocating to British Columbia.
Introduced to comics in his youth through titles like Marvel’s G.I. Joe and X-Men, Andrews dedicated himself to a career in comics. He began his professional journey with independent publishers before moving on to larger companies such as Image, Wildstorm, and Marvel. His Marvel credits include Before the Fantastic Four: Ben Grimm and Logan, Black Panther, Gambit, Marvel Knights Millennial Visions, Marvel Mangaverse: Spider-Man, Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: Year One, Spider-Man: Legend of the Spider-Clan, Spider-Man’s Tangled Web, Thor, Ultimate X-Men, Wolverine, and X-Men Unlimited. His other projects encompass Gen 13 and Thundercats/Battle of the Planets.
A recipient of a Joe Shuster Award and a nominee for an Eisner Award, Andrews has also applied his talents to album design and film direction.
