Noel Fitzpatrick
Noel Fitzpatrick is a world-leading orthopaedic-neuro veterinary surgeon, recognized for his compassionate and innovative work treating companion animals. Among his many awards for advanced procedures, Noel holds a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the first person to successfully apply a skeletally anchored amputation prosthesis to treat a cat who had lost both of their hind legs in an accident.
Professor Noel Fitzpatrick obtained his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin in 1990 and went on to establish Fitzpatrick Referrals in Surrey in 2005. Fitzpatrick first gained mainstream attention in 2010 with the television series The Bionic Vet, which documented his work at Fitzpatrick Referrals, followed in 2014 by the hugely successful series The Supervet – the moniker by which he is still known today.
His previous books include three memoirs and the bestselling Dogs and their Humans. Over the Rainbow Bridge is his first picture book.
