Critics Review

A riveting tale of dark magic - our intrepid occult detective, Evie Winstanley, does more than out-think Sherlock, she defends his creator, Conan Doyle, and proves that not all forces can be defeated by logical deduction. Sometimes you need raw courage and knowledge of how to defend yourself and others against the dark powers. Look no further for your next detective story. – Julia Golding, author of the Cat Royal series, and The Companions Quartet.
A wonderful sequel that amps up all of the aspects readers will have loved inCircle of Shadows. While steeped in classic Victorian Gothic fiction, the tone ofDomain of Darkness is wry and the stakes are resolutely human despite the presence of the supernatural. Here’s to many more adventures featuring Evie Winstanley and her team of occult investigators! – Tim Major, author of Jekyll & Hyde: Consulting Detectives series and the Sherlock Holmes novel The Back to Front Murder
