Summary

‘What follows is not a tidy narrative. I am not a tidy person. These pages are made of fragments, contradictions, jokes, confessions, and philosophical detours, because, well, that is how life happens …’

What They're Saying

Critics Review

Oh wow. Please do yourself a favour and read this book. I loved every page of Emily Crane’s punchy, provocative, energised, joyful musings. Musings which cover everything from Homer to childhood to pigeons. There are heavy themes - suicide, sexism, the horrors of the world but because of the lively and passionate way it is written, you are happy to take the ride. It’s a book to entertain you and to argue with you and agree with you. In non fiction there are two types of book - ones that give you interesting facts, and ones which aim to entertain or nourish via opinion. This manages to do both. I loved it. – Matt Haig
Emily’s words are why we all need to get off the internet. – Aja Barber, in her newsletter
