About The Author

James B. Donovan

James Donovan was a lawyer during WWII, where he served with the US Navy and the Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner of the CIA. Following his wartime service, he became the lead prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials. In January 1962, he famously walked across the Glienicke Bridge, also known as the Bridge of Spies, linking East and West Berlin, to exchange Abel for Powers.
