Atinuke
Atinuke was born in Nigeria and spent her childhood in both Africa and the UK. As a traditional oral storyteller, and drawing upon her recent Yoruba ancestry, she visits schools and theatres all over the world. Atinuke is the author of the Anna Hibiscus series, the No. 1 Car Spotter series, Beti and the Little Round House illustrated by Emily Hughes, and the picture books Baby Goes to Market, Baby, Sleepy Baby, B Is for Baby, L is for Love and Catch That Chicken! illustrated by Angela Brooksbank. Atinuke lives on a mountain overlooking the sea in west Wales and supports the charity SOS Children’s Village.
Lauren Hinds is a cartoonist and bookbinder from Trinidad and Tobago. She began her career as a freelance illustrator at the Trinidad Guardian and during that time pursued a diploma in graphic design and a certificate in bookbinding at the John Donaldson Technical Institute (University of Trinidad and Trinidad Creativity Campus). She graduated from the Center for Cartoon Studies in 2010 and enjoys creating narratives for children and young adults using the comics and illustration mediums.
