About The Author

Chela de la Vega

Teresa spent her early childhood in a small town north of Mexico, enjoying the simple life of playing in the river and interacting with farm animals. When her family moved to the city of Monterrey for educational opportunities, she missed the quiet of her earlier years. A shy child in school, Teresa used drawing as a way to connect with her peers.

With no formal illustration career path available in Mexico at the time, Teresa studied Graphic Design, spending her free time immersed in art books at the university library. She supplemented her education with numerous painting courses, including a short course at the Leonardo Da Vinci School in Florence, Italy. Eventually, she began working as a children’s book illustrator, a profession she continues to pursue.

Teresa now lives in Puerto Vallarta, where she draws for children, much like she did in her school days. She is delighted to see cows outside her house every other day, a reminder of her cherished childhood.
