Jean Yates is a linguist, teacher of English as a Second Language and Spanish, and author of guides for learning both languages. She holds a BA in Spanish and an MA in Linguistics from American University, Washington, D.C., and a PhD in Spanish Philology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. She specializes in providing step-by-step guidance in all aspects of language learning, and helping students master the skills of pronunciation, conversation, grammar, reading, writing, and translation.
