Jody Houser

  • Jody Houser: A New York Times bestselling and Eisner-nominated writer, Jody Houser decided at eight years old that she wanted to be a writer and has never looked back. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Emerson College, where she completed her master’s thesis in screenwriting and was a winner of the Rod Parker Fellowship for Playwriting. Houser has penned stories for DC Comics (Mother Panic, Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy), Marvel Comics (Star Wars, Web of Black Widow), Dark Horse Comics (Stranger Things, Critical Role), Titan Comics (Doctor Who), IDW Publishing (Orphan Black, Star Trek), and Valiant Entertainment (Faith), among others.

  • Selina “Sirius” Espiritu: A comic illustrator based in the Philippines, Selina Espiritu has more dogs than sense. She is enthusiastic about medicine and fishing and requires direct sunlight at least once a day.

  • Diana Sousa: Diana Sousa lives in Portugal, where she works as a comic book colorist and a freelance graphic designer specializing in layouts for TTRPG books. In 2023, she was nominated for an Eisner Award for Best Coloring for her work on several Critical Role projects with Dark Horse Comics.

  • Ariana Maher: Ariana Maher is a Brazilian-American letterer who has worked on numerous Critical Role comics, including Vox Machina Origins, Mighty Nein Origins, and Tales of Exandria. Her greatest lettering challenge is distinguishing between Vex and Vax in comic book scripts, but she is improving. Her cat is named Ames, after the Ames Lettering Guide.

  • Mae Catt: A queer, multi-racial screenwriter native to Los Angeles, Mae Catt has a passion for cross-genre projects that have led her to work on prominent animation, live-action, and comic projects. Catt made her animation debut writing for the critically-acclaimed Young Justice. Since then, she has written for Transformers: Cyberverse, Marvel’s Marvel Rising and Spider-man, and Nickelodeon’s Monster High. She has also worked in adult animation on Dragon Age: Absolution and The Legend of Vox Machina. Most recently, Catt has worked as a writer and story editor for Transformers: Earthspark. Catt collects comic books, cosplays, and contemplates the nature of evil.

  • Kendra Wells: Kendra Wells is a writer, illustrator, and cartoonist. Their published works include Tell No Tales: Pirates of the Southern Seas (written by Sam Maggs), Real Hero Shit, and contributions to the Ignatz Award-winning anthology Be Gay Do Comics. Wells is inspired by medieval fantasy, queer individuals, existential dread, and their cat, Nicky. They are currently growing a tomato plant.

  • Hunter Bonyun: A Canadian artist working from her home studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, Hunter Bonyun is passionate about creating engaging characters and elegant illustrations that capture the beauty of the fantasy genre. With a love for D&D and a Bachelor of Design, she has pursued her artwork in video games, publishing, comics, and TTRPGs.

  • Eren Angiolini: Eren Angiolini is a comic colorist and fantasy TTRPG artist. They have worked on prominent comic IPs, including Justice League, Teen Justice, Doctor Who, and Critical Role’s The Mighty Nein Origins: Nott the Brave. When not drawing or coloring, they practice historical fencing.

  • Kevin Burke & Chris “Doc” Wyatt: This Emmy-nominated writing/producing team has scripted over 200 episodes of animated television shows, including Legends of Vox Machina, Star Wars Resistance, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Batman Unlimited, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Transformers: Cyberverse, among many others. Burke & Wyatt developed and executive produced Hasbro’s Stretch Armstrong & the Flex Fighters (for Netflix) and Robert Kirkman’s Super Dinosaur (for Amazon Prime). They served as head writers for seasons of Ultimate Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man, as well as Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hasbro Studios’ Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy. Burke & Wyatt created the first Transformers comedy series, Transformers: BotBots. They currently serve as Executive Producers and Head Writers on Lego Ninjago Dragons Rising, a series they developed for Lego and Netflix. They live and work in Los Angeles, California.

  • Cathy Le: Cathy Le is a Vietnamese-American illustrator and comic artist. In addition to Critical Role’s Origins: Jester and Mollymauk, her credits include Big Ethel Energy and Clueless: One Last Summer. She is passionate about her original characters, anime, and video games. When she’s not drawing, she plays the MMORPG FFXIV.
