Kym Roberts
Kym Roberts felt drawn to three career paths in her early childhood: detective, investigative reporter, and nun. The nun idea faded when she discovered boys. In high school, a job at a dry cleaners introduced her to the town’s police force, particularly the sole female patrol officer, solidifying her law enforcement aspirations.
Kym achieved her dream, becoming a detective and satisfying her desire for investigative reporting with the added bonus of a badge. Promoted to sergeant, she dedicated most of her career to SVU. Kym reluctantly retired when her husband moved them to another state, but the call to writing persisted.
