Critics Review
With Chisholm’s subtle, fun-filled lessons about consequences and saying sorry, and Parekh’s brilliantly anarchic illustrations, this surreal cautionary tale of cleanliness is sure delight exasperated parents… and maybe make even the most reluctant kids excited about bath time! – Pam Norfolk * Lancashire Post *
Told with laugh-out-loud visuals, jokes and hilarious animal characters, this is a standout picture book story for 3+ year olds. * School Reading List *
Rikin Parekh portrays the chaos caused by Mildred brilliantly in his detailed, sometimes scribbly style illustrations and Alastair Chisholm’s slightly surreal telling that sometimes breaks into rhyme is a cautionary tale of the adhesive kind that could just coerce young listeners into having regular baths and enjoying so doing. A really fun read aloud. – Jill R. Bennett * Red Reading Hub *
What a fun story Sticky Mildred is – my 7yr old was laughing lots from the zany story to Rikin’s brilliant illustrations. Perfect for those children not keen on bathing, this is also a story to get young children predicting about what Mildred will get stuck to next! Bright, funny and unpredictable, Sticky Mildred is lots of fun! * Check ‘Em Out Books *
