Eva Macrae
Eva Macrae is the author of A Death in Glasgow, a thrilling police procedural set in Glasgow, publishing in January 2026.
Born in Glasgow, Eva is a former newspaper photographer turned crime author. She covered stories including the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the first Gulf War, in addition to many high-profile murder cases. These experiences have influenced her popular Detective Shona Oliver police procedural series, which Eva writes under her real name, Lynne McEwan.
She is a graduate of the University of East Anglia’s Creative Writing programme and splits her time between Lincolnshire and Scotland.
