Lee Chia-Ying
Lee Chia-Ying (Author)
Lee Chia-Ying was born and raised in Taiwan. She writes in Taiwanese Mandarin and is the author of three short story collections. Her debut novel A Perfect Day to Put Your Head in the Oven has received multiple literary awards in Taiwan and is being translated into twenty-one languages. She is now based in Boston and Taipei.
Lin King (Translator)
Lin King is a writer and translator based in Taipei and New York. King received the 2026 International Booker Prize for her translation of Taiwan Travellogue by Yang Shuang-zi and also the 2024 National Book Award in Translation. She has also been awarded the 2024 Baifang Schell Book Prize from the Asia Society and the 2025 First Translation Prize from the American Literary Translators Association. King speaks English, Mandarin and Japanese. She holds a BA from Princeton University and an MFA from Columbia University. Her fiction has been published in One Story, Boston Review, Joyland, and Best Debut Short Stories. Her debut novel, Weeb, is forthcoming in 2027.
