He is the co-creator and artist of the comic series SQUISH AND SQUASH with writer Niall O’Rourke, a fun all-ages sci-fi/rescue/adventure series from Keenspot Entertainment. He also contributed to DC Comics’ DEADMAN TELLS THE SPOOKY TALES, a graphic novel anthology.
Franco enjoys drawing fun, colorful all-ages art, particularly for Middle Grade books and Graphic Novels, aiming to bring an inviting, vibrant, and animated quality to his work. He is passionate about creating content that can be enjoyed by everyone.
His past clients include DC Comics, UK-based Rebellion (for Monster Fun Magazine), Upper Deck Entertainment, Cryptozoic Entertainment, and Perna Studios, as well as freelance work on independent comics and books.
Growing up with a wide array of books and cartoons like He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, C.O.P.S., The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Adventure Time, Calvin and Hobbes, Asterix, and Tintin significantly shaped his creative sensibilities.
Franco lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with his wife, three children, and their cat, Maverick. He is represented by Davinia Andrew-Lynch at Curtis Brown in London.
