About The Author
Adam Wallenta
Adam Wallenta is a veteran author, illustrator, editor, publisher, and educator with over 30 years of experience in comics. He has worked with major publishers like Marvel, DC, and Skyhorse, and founded his own company, American Mule Entertainment. Adam co-created the official Public Enemy comic series with Chuck D and, alongside his wife Dr. Kanani K. M. Lee, developed the Adventures of Geo series to promote Earth sciences in schools worldwide. He is currently a senior editor at Papercutz/Mad Cave Studios, overseeing graphic novels such as The Smurfs, Flash Gordon Adventures, Herobear and the Kid, and Three Thieves and the Secret S.T.E.A.M. Society.
His award-winning Punk Taco graphic novel series, created with his son Makana, earned multiple honors, including the 2019 Ringo Award for Best Kids Comic. When not creating comics or mentoring young artists, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, building Lego, watching old movies, and attempting to play sports with his children.
Makana Wallenta co-created, co-wrote, and co-illustrated the Punk Taco graphic novel series starting at age 5. In 2019, Punk Taco won a Ringo Award for Best Kids Comic or Graphic Novel. Makana also co-hosts the Little Kids Big Kids YouTube channel. He is currently working on Punk Taco Volumes 3 and 4 with his father and younger brother, while balancing his school responsibilities.
Art is a “super-cartoonist machine” from Chicago. He is the creative force behind the Eisner Award-winning ITTY BITTY HELLBOY and the NYT Best-Selling, Eisner and Harvey Award-winning DC Comics’ TINY TITANS. Art is also the artist for the DC SUPER-PETS children’s book series. He co-wrote DC’s Billy Batson and the Magic of SHAZAM, Young Justice, and Green Lantern Animated comics. He is the artist/co-writer for DC Comics’ SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES and the SUPER POWERS! series. Recently, Art became co-founder of the AW YEAH COMICS comic shop and co-creator of the AW YEAH COMICS comic book series starring ACTION CAT and ADVENTURE BUG.
