My Beloved Other is charming, amusing, intelligent, well reasoned and a repository of common sense.” –The Slings and Arrows Graphic Novel Guide

“The thread running through [My Beloved Other] is love–and the possibility of a kinder world in which difference does not make someone less familiar, less worthy, or less beloved.” –Lulu Mazzocco Skantze, Publisher, Storytime Magazine

“A powerful and touching anti-racist memoir [and] a reminder of the one thing that those who wish to downgrade multicultures into monocultures can never account for, which is that people fall in love. Moving and timely, and highly recommended.” –John Higgs, William Blake vs. the World
