David Francko, a renowned hardy palm expert, has garnered significant media attention, featuring as a guest on Martha Stewart Living TV and NPR’s Science Friday with Ira Flatow.

Currently, Francko serves as the chair of the Department of Botany at Miami University in Ohio, where his academic focus is on aquatic plants. He is also a co-investigator for the university’s Hardy Palms Project. For many years, he has dedicated himself to experimenting with warm-climate plants in his personal gardens.

Francko’s research has been published in various scientific journals and presented at both national and international conferences.
