Allan M. Armitage
Allan M. Armitage is a professor at the University of Georgia, Athens, where he teaches, conducts research, and manages the University of Georgia Horticulture Gardens. He is a widely recognized horticulturist, lecturing and consulting internationally.
Armitage has received numerous accolades, including the Medal of Honor from the Garden Club of America and the National Educator Award from the American Horticultural Society. He is the author of nine previous books.
He was also honored with a Quill and Trowel award from the Garden Writers Association of America. Greenhouse Grower magazine recognized him as one of the ten most influential figures in the floriculture industry, acknowledging his contributions to expanding grower markets with innovative annuals, cut flowers, and perennials.
