Mike McQuaide
Mike McQuaide has written outdoor, travel, and lifestyle stories for publications such as Outside, Sunset, Runner’s World, and Adventure Cyclist. A former outdoors writer for the Seattle Times, Mike has authored six books on outdoor recreation and travel, including Day Hike! Central Cascades and 75 Classic Rides: Washington. He is an avid cyclist (road and mountain bike), trail runner, mountaineer, and snowboarder. For over twenty-five years, he has hiked and run trails in the Pacific Northwest. Mike currently resides in Luxembourg with his wife, Jennifer, and son, Baker, who is named after a mountain.
