About The Author

Robin Wilson

Robin Wilson is a native Austinite and UT Austin alumna who transformed her Texas heritage into a $100M global brand, CLEAN DESIGN HOME®. Her book is part memoir and part blueprint for an entrepreneurial mindset. She bootstrapped her business and shares the peaks and valleys of the entrepreneurial journey, reflecting on the work ethic of her grandfathers: one a Texas sharecropper who picked cotton, and the other a merchant-entrepreneur who owned real estate and several businesses.

Growing up a sickly child with allergies and asthma, she reflects on how her parents’ choice of a holistic pediatrician and shopping ‘organic’ for fruits and vegetables from stands in the Texas Hill Country had a positive health impact. Wilson is a recipient of a NYU-SPS “Distinguished Alumni” award (2024) and was selected as the convocation speaker at Radio City Music Hall. She was named to Inc magazine’s “Top 100 Female Founders,” and in 2013, she was selected by Stephen F. Austin High School as a “Hall of Honor” recipient. Her family’s oral history is part of “The HistoryMakers” digital archive in the US Library of Congress.

Her story of tragedy and triumph will change the way you look at your ancestry and uplift you to face challenges with a new perspective. Wilson is a motivational speaker committed to sharing the power of legacy: honoring the past, which can ultimately define one’s future.
