Elise Gravel
In kindergarten, Elise was popular for her drawings of princesses with long, spiral curls. In high school, she honed her skills by drawing girls’ dream guys, becoming adept at depicting muscles and chest hair, which proved useful for this book.
Elise’s favorite author, Roald Dahl, sparked her interest in unusual people and animals—anyone strange, different, or funny.
In her hometown of Montreal, the beloved Antonio, a gentle giant who lived near a donut shop, was a local celebrity. He claimed to have been one of the strongest men in the world and to communicate with aliens through his braids. After his passing, many of Antonio’s extraordinary tales were proven true, including a letter from President Bill Clinton and photographs of himself with celebrities like Liza Minnelli, Sophia Loren, and Johnny Carson.
