Emmy Award-winning journalist, pilot, and philanthropist Lauren Sánchez Bezos is also a NY Times bestselling children’s book author. Growing up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was inspired by her father, a former flight instructor, to dream of becoming a pilot. After a long career in journalism, Lauren earned her pilot’s license in her 40s. This experience, combined with her love of storytelling and adventure as a mother, motivated her to write The Fly Who Flew series.
