With warm rhyming text and wonderfully detailed illustrations that reminded me of Richard Scarry, this is a book that opens the door to conversations about belonging and the many ways we can find our place in the world. I can imagine this being read in classrooms during units on community and belonging but it’s just as lovely to share at home. Zanni’s rhyming is spot on – beautifully cadenced and gently persuasive and Tony’s illustrations – so rich in details! – will keep your Smalls poring over each page many, many times to spot each tiny new discovery. This is honestly one of the loveliest picture books I’ve seen this year and while the message is overt, it is not in the least didactic. I love it and it’s a 5 star rating for readers of all ages from EC upwards. * Just So Stories *
Zanni Louise
Zanni Louise is passionate about writing quality books for children and inspiring people to write their own stories.
