Ruth Jones MBE is a highly acclaimed author and television personality, best known for co-writing and starring in the multi-award-winning BBC One series Gavin and Stacey, where she played the iconic Nessa Jenkins. The show’s 2019 and 2024 Christmas specials achieved massive viewing figures of 18 million and 21 million respectively.

Ruth also created and co-wrote several series of Stella for Sky TV, earning a BAFTA nomination for her work. Her other television credits include Hattie, Nighty Night, and Saxondale. In 2024, she took on the role of Mother Superior in Sister Act the Musical at London’s Dominion Theatre. Her recent acting roles include Elena Ravenscroft in the Netflix adaptation of Harlan Coben’s Run Away and Mrs. Bennet in the BBC adaptation of Janice Hadlow’s The Other Bennet Sister.

Ruth’s novels have achieved remarkable success, selling over a million copies. Her debut novel, Never Greener, was a Sunday Times bestseller for fifteen weeks, reaching number one for three of those weeks. It was also named WHSmith Fiction Book of the Year 2018, nominated for Debut of the Year at the British Book Awards, and selected as a Zoe Ball Book Club pick. Her subsequent novels, Us Three and Love Untold, also debuted instantly on The Sunday Times bestseller list. James Corden is an Emmy Award-winning host, writer, producer, and actor. Born in 1978, he honed his performing skills at the Jackie Palmer Stage School. Early television roles in Teachers and Fat Friends led to his collaboration with Ruth Jones, culminating in the co-creation of the BAFTA Award-winning Gavin and Stacey, where Corden’s portrayal of ‘Smithy’ became a breakout role. His notable television work also includes co-writing and starring in The Wrong Mans, Doctor Who, and the miniseries Mammals.

On stage, Corden earned critical acclaim and the 2012 Tony Award for “Best Leading Actor in a Play” for his performance in One Man, Two Guvnors. He also starred in The History Boys and, more recently, The Constituent.

In 2015, Corden made a significant career move by taking over as host of The Late Late Show in the United States. During his tenure, he won multiple Emmy Awards and created globally popular segments such as “Carpool Karaoke.”

In film, Corden starred in The Prom, earning a 2021 Golden Globe nomination for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture.” His other feature film credits include Into The Woods and Ocean’s 8. Corden also hosts the US interview series This Life Of Mine With James Corden on Sirius XM. In recognition of his contributions to drama, Corden was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) at Buckingham Palace in 2015.
