Critics Review
‘Desperation, mystery, and heartache define the dual timelines in Monika Kim’s excellent, elegant vampire novel. From the politics of survival in 19th century Korea to the predatory nature of celebrity in present day America, Kim delves into family obligation, dangerous romance, and the maddening hunger for human blood. Another triumph for Monika Kim!’ – Christopher Golden * New York Times bestselling author of CARRY ME TO MY GRAVE and ROAD OF BONES *
