About The Author
Amelia Mellor
Amelia Mellor is an author, teacher, and nature enthusiast. She is the creator of The Grandest Bookshop in the World, The Bookseller’s Apprentice, and The Lost Book of Magic, a multi-award-winning historical fantasy trilogy set in Melbourne, where she resides. Amelia holds degrees from Monash University and The University of Melbourne.
To gather inspiration for her book Oceanforged, Amelia undertook several adventures, including spending three days at sea, swimming with sharks, hiking through jungles, getting lost in Italy, handling genuine pirate artifacts, and scuba diving on a shipwreck. When she isn’t writing or researching, she can typically be found tending to her tropical fish collection or embarking on ambitious craft projects.
