Rod Henderson
Rod Henderson joined the Australian Army in 1995. He spent 22 years serving Australia, first as a paratrooper in the infantry, then as a door gunner on board Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters. Rod was deployed to many places in the world during his career.
Rod now lives near Canberra with his wife, three young boys, two German shepherds and a flock of sheep. After a medical separation from the Army in 2017, Rod continues to serve his country working as a voluntary guide with the Australian War Memorial. He is passionate about veterans telling their experiences and has seen firsthand the benefit that storytelling brings.
