Jim Shooter
Jim Shooter’s prolific career in comics began when he was just a teenager, becoming the youngest writer to ever publish stories for DC Comics. His early work included franchises like Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes.
Shooter eventually moved to Marvel Comics, where he worked his way up to become the publisher’s editor-in-chief. During his tenure as EiC, he brought in era-defining writers and artists and spearheaded the blockbuster Secret Wars crossover event, which significantly impacted the comic book business.
After leaving Marvel, Shooter helped found Valiant Comics alongside seminal creators such as Bob Layton, Barry Windsor-Smith, David Lapham, and Don Perlin.
