Sharon Lee
Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, a Maine-based writing duo, began their collaboration in the late 1980s. Together, they created the character of Kinzel, an endearing wizard known for his feline companionship, his pursuit of justice, and a staff of immense power.
Over the decades, until Steve’s passing in 2024, Lee and Miller published over 100 works of speculative fiction. The majority of these stories were set within their unique and expansive Liaden Universe®, reflecting their shared belief that fiction should be an enjoyable experience for both readers and writers.
Throughout their extensive careers, Steve and Sharon were honored guests at more than twenty-five science fiction conventions nationwide. They were also regular panelists and featured speakers at these events.
Their accolades include the Prizm for Best Futuristic Romance, The Golden Duck for Best YA SF, the Reader’s Choice Award for the Year’s Best Military and Adventure SF in 2017, and the Edward E. Smith Memorial Award for Imaginative Fiction (the Skylark).
Sharon Lee continues to write within the universe she and Steve created together.
