Critics Review
Praise for Onward, We Marched:
“Still, / we march / onward” leaves readers with the understanding that there’s still work to be done. The endpapers echo this feeling; those at the beginning of the book show marchers in 1950s-era clothing, while those at the back show marchers in modern attire. A useful book to introduce or review a unit on Civil Rights.“–School Library Journal
”This picture book stands out for its broad scope and its focus on the act of marching as a force for change in a long, ongoing struggle. Powerful and engaging.” –Kirkus reviews
